Hopefully this forum will be worth the trials and tribulations involved in creating it! I have done pretty extensive testing, so I'm assuming it won't go down in the first afternoon, ala the events of last week. Just in case, I'll keep the old forum up for a while. Eventually I will archive everything and make it acessible from here.

The HTML checking on this forum should be a lot better. You can use < and > signs without worry so long as they aren't a part of a tag (or look like a part of a tag); they will be auto-subbed with lt and gt. You still have to use [pre] to post code, but when I get the chance I'll try and figure out a clean way to preserve indentation automatically. Sigh .. this is so much easier in DM!

This isn't an honorable record-beater! You just went to the first post ever.

I'm still the record-holder! Nyahh!

Well it wasn't always BYOND it used to be called Dantom's Universal Network Game and the new board came around at about the same time DUNG got renamed. I don't know when BYOND got started but I've been using it since July 1998 :). The article that showed me the light is over at www.skoardy.demon.co.uk\rlnews\0798.html, look at July 17 :).
