It's a good idea to rough out some animations in a solid color to see how it'll come out before putting the finishing touches on it. I'd suggest looking at how birds flap their wings for reference (Which I didn't actually do for the edit, but y'know...). I made a half circle with it's center at the joint where the body and wing connects to keep track of the wing span and make sure I didn't exceed it on any frames. Then just blotted out the shape of the wings in a solid color. Once you're happy with the way it looks, then it's time to put the finishing touches on the rough parts.
Other than that, good job.
