Hey guys,

Well, when I host a game on my PC, with a port portforwarded to my PC's IP, my brother can't join from his PC.

We're both on the same router. When he tries to connect, it gives 'failed'.

How can I fix this?

Yours truly, Raimo.
I would suggest checking your Windows firewall. You should be able to open specific ports on it.

Other people outside of my router can join the server.

They should try:
byond://127.0.0.1:port
replace port with the port.
Maybe it'd let them join.

That's a localhost IP isn't it, meaning that the person would be connecting to their own computer?

Try to find your intranet IP address and use that to see if it works (type in "ipconfig" in the command prompt. The intranet IP should start with 192.168.___)

I thought 127.0.0.1 would let people connect if they are on the same connection?

No, that is the loopback address, to your OWN computer.
They will need the internal IP within their own network.
