Is there a way to mask a whole bmp without having to load it into an icon file?
because sumtimes i print screen and paste into paint then i put the saved file into my game folder but when i put it in the game the background shows too....anyway of masking this background?

The DM mask is RGB 192,192,192 by default; just double click a color on the palette in Paint, adjust its RGB value to 192,192,192 and flood the background of the image with it.

Great free art program, supports png transparencys. It is free, but some of the mirrors try to make you think you are buying it(but it is just really the site trying to get you to subscribe). Surf around the site to find the free windows download. |

It's a good editor, but pretty confusing at first.
I suggest you look up some tutorals on the basics of using it before you try to do anything. |
