Hello, Feeders! It's been awhile since I even opened Feed's folder but after getting some inspiration, I did and so far the progress is pretty awesome! I've been spending a lot of time with revamping the HUD and tomorrow I'll probably take Falacy's suggestion and add a hotbar. Anyway, a current change log for beta 1.8 which was released earlier today:

  • Revamped HUD.
  • New map; Factory.
  • New zombie type; Blaze.
  • Various screen effects.
  • Ranks(as in private, corporal, etc.)
  • Several minor fixes.
  • 5 custom songs made by Lorhig.

Factory. Derp.

I have a few pretty big plans for build 2.0 which include a revamp of the map Hazard, medals, unlockables, and most importantly, different game modes. The two game modes I have in mind are Free Roam and PvP Deathmatch.

Free Roam-
Free roam would be similar to how Feed used to work(before build 1.0.0) which you can see a video of here.

PvP Deathmatch-
PvP Deathmatch would be Feed without the zombies and PvP turned on. players would essentially battle each other to the death rather than zombies.

I've been thinking of ideas for features to throw in and I would love to receive feedback and some suggestions so please, share your thoughts, whether they're good or bad! (:

Can't get the images to load :( As far as PvP goes tho, I'd like it to be more strategy based than "who has the biggest gun". I think in general a human's biggest advantage to killing zombies is that zombies are dumb!

Aside from the molotov, how about land mines? Or maybe a scent vial that contains human blood that would distract the zombies for a while?

As far as PVP goes.. maybe you could have PVP only skills?
Land mines were actually a previous idea that I would have no problem with reviving and adding to the game. As for the scent vial, I like it. I've been trying to think of ways players and zombies could farther interact with each other. Sound has definitely been considered(shoot, and all nearby zombies without a target will be attracted to the gunshot). But maybe smell would be an interesting addition.

Also, what do you mean by PvP only skills?
In terms of distracting enemies, you could make it so shooting a car sets off the alarm and attracts enemies (and at the same time make the cars possible to blow up). I still don't think the hotbar should be visible, but maybe if it was somewhat small, or if it fades or something, it would be fine.

Basically skills that might make Pvp more fun or challenging. Like temporarily invisibility, or maybe a chance at stunning your opponent temporarily. Or causing their gun to jam with a one use skill, or turning their gun into a chicken/turkey/rabbit. Idk.. just something different.. lol

Think call of duty online play, where the soldiers you choose have a certain skill that can be activated manually under various circumstances.

It was just a random idea though I didn't really have anything in mind when I said it ha ha.
