Does the problem occur:
Every time? Or how often?
In other games?
In other user accounts?
On other computers?

When does the problem NOT occur?
When downgrading to 479.
Did the problem NOT occur in any earlier versions? If so, what was the last version that worked? (Visit http://www.byond.com/download/build to download old versions for testing.)
479 worked.
Workarounds:
Downgrade to 479.
What did your memory look like at the time this happened? The info I'm seeing suggests the system ran out of memory, not that there was anything specific to 482. I ran Settlers (in Windows) just fine so it must not happen every time the game runs.

You didn't mention if this happens every time or in other games, which would be important to know.
My access to that linux machine died. I can no longer confirm it :\.
Also, I would check it on my primary OS, but DreamDownload seems broken :\. I guess this bug is going to die unless I can manage to pull something through.
