CoApp (Common Opensource Application Publishing Platform) is an upcoming package manager for windows, supported by microsoft, etc etc.

They're holding a contest. Basically, you fork some open source projects, you get points, and you enter yourself to win some awesome stuff.

That is all. Go go go!
I'm not exactly sure what this project is trying to achieve... Are they asking people to fork perfectly good open-source projects for their own gain?

I looked at the website, but not sure what a shallow fork is.
As the fork will invariably be to bring an open source project to Windows under CoApp, I think it's pretty obvious what they are trying to achieve.
