Descriptive Problem Summary:
When map_format = SIDE_MAP and non-square icons being used, there is a display glitch. It's not a layering issue and it doesn't happen when map_format is TOPDOWN_MAP, so it seems to be a bug. It seems like internally, some calculation is using the icon width when it should be using the icon height.
Numbered Steps to Reproduce Problem:
Download and run this demo.
The mob and camera should remain in the same place.
When you're at 1,1 and the mob (and camera) are offset 16 pixels up, you're at the same position as if you were at 1,2 and shifted 16 pixels down. The demo has two verbs, each sets you to one of those configurations. You shouldn't notice a difference.
The mob appears in different positions. The first configuration (1,1 + 16 pixels up) is correct, but the other configuration puts the mob too low on the screen (looks like 8 pixels too low).
Does the problem occur:
Every time? Or how often?
In other games?
In other user accounts?
On other computers?
When does the problem NOT occur?
The problem only occurs when map_format = SIDE_MAP. It works fine with TOPDOWN_MAP.
Did the problem NOT occur in any earlier versions? If so, what was the last version that worked? (Visit http://www.byond.com/download/build to download old versions for testing.)
