This feature has already been implemented, or is already achievable with existing methods.
Simple. Even though it's common now to make StepOn/Off and SteppedOn/Off procs instead, would it create too much overhead to call this built-in but the same exact way? Or is it just so minor that it isn't practical?

This appears to have been added at some point, as all four functions (Cross(), Crossed(), Uncross(), and Uncrossed()) work in worlds that have not initialized pixel movement mode.
