Would be awesome and I mean AWESOME if we could tag a user in a post to notify them of something that's happening.

example

Tom writes a post about a new build, I can tag someone to tell them.

Hey @Cloud Magic new updates wooooo

This would then send a page (like the pager works now) to the user notifying that they have been tagged.

I think this feature should be left to the main forum as it could be abused if a Pokemanz game wanted to advertise.

I've seen this tagging system in a few forums and it works perfectly and people don't abuse it.

Obvious ability to turn the feature off if you don't want it.

Yes, please. +

I think this would be a good feature. It'd be even better if the only people you could tag were people that fan'd you. That way you can't be tagged by random people on the site.

Agreed.

@CloudMagic yep :)
@MDC I am sure they will have policies regarding things like that. Possible the ability for the tagger person to remove tags if they do not like them.

@A.T.H.K This is a great idea. :)

Also, to add more to the membership feature; they could tag whoever they want.

Yes and non-members can only tag people on their pager/friends list.

No, that'd be a stupid idea. Read the comments above as to why.
Thanks for all the support guys, this feature wouldn't be to hard to implement into the current system.

Hopefully all the support persuades Tom into making it happen!

I was actually going to suggest this as well, glad to see someone else had the same idea as me.

I support it 100%. :)
