(Version 7++ - version 7 has changed so much over the years that we no longer have a proper version number for it since it doesn't coincide with old BH's vision.)
The Hunting Grounds - ORIGINALLY created by The Brotherhood (Dagolar, Kija, Mahn, Constantine, Kain, Soren, and U Dye) on 12/18/02 - takes place in the middle ages. Choose from 10 different classes with a total of over 60 character icons with a battle system that allows parties of up to 8 characters able to battle up to 32 monsters in battle. Excellent designing combined with well-crafted code make this 16 year old game reborn again in version 7 and onwards.

Keep in mind the event sources have not been updated and will not show up on the hub. I will try to keep the server address updated on Discord( maybe Facebook) and the hub page when this happens.

The Halloween server is up. The address is byond://74.179.38.223:1041.
To enter the world, open the menu from byond and then open file location and enter the address there (or click it). Keep in mind the halloween server isn't updated so that means it won't appear on the hub (because it's still referencing the old byond address which Mahn deleted). In this version you are still limited to 2 keys, the old graphics are back so some areas may have changed somewhat (such as old cathedral and DM), no minibosses, no pop2, no instill 2 for RMs, among some other minor changes (hp changes for some monsters, as well as weaknesses and anything I forgot to mention). Those who have defeated Malore (it's a very small number) who wish to play in the halloween server need to contact me by posting here so I can edit their save in order to progress through the halloween quest. @Snakers - Before the old BH disbanded, there was talk of the V7 files being hosted at some point. Unfortunately, I don't know how to make them downloadable. I think Kija needs to do it since the game is under his name.

I have a group of friends who intermittantly get filled with a buttload of nostalgia, so the intermittant nature of when this game is up makes us sad. Do you lot still have contact with Kija?

You'll find kija on the facebook page. We decided that it would be best for one server for now since it's up 24/7 except for power outages and unforeseen circumstances and has all the player saves.
And to quote Kija, "If that is what everyone wants, I can remove the host protection from the files. I am not really a part of those sort of decisions anymore. The main reason we have tried to keep it to only one host was to prevent the already small community becoming too fractured by having random servers. By having one server, you were at least guaranteed to be in the only place any who would be playing the game would be, with the same character every time." | |
Note to the Owners of this game, and I guess to the players who can no longer join. After playing the first time there seems to be a resources issue or something but you have to clear cache in order to play again. This has happened to me twice after logging out and i'm just trying to help the game gain players and keep them.

Can you please make it so we can repeat bosses with those who haven't done them yet? Since this game is perpetually empty, I'd like to be able to help my friends with the bosses to save a lot of making new characters and long lonely grinding. Every time someone new comes in, I have to start over, and I'm getting tired of never making any progress.
