Practice. Alot of practicing really helps. But I cannot claim that I am good. The grass for example, is something I did with holding the right mousebutton and went around the .dmi window, with all sort of different colors untill I got what I liked. The water was simple. Just a background, draw a simple shape in it and give it a small shadow.

It may look impressive, but they're just basic forms with bad shading, really.

Then you'll never learn. Simple as that. <_<
