Just an issue with the cache... it'll go away with a refresh.
What do you guys think of it?

I think it's sort of.. Un-appealing in the idea that it doesn't display enough information immediately. Know what I mean?

Just curious how everyone else feels about it.

What else would you like to see? We needed to compress the layout to make room for the upcoming medal system. I also think for repeat visitors this new layout makes more sense, since you don't need to see the description etc every time.

Great... now I gotta tell the imbeciles of BYOND who play my game to read the hub >_> "It's not there! :(" - "...*sigh* click on the description button...."

In my opinion I like the old one better, But the new one has its benefits. Its easier for us to find information, but harder for those who maybe are new to byond to find it =p.

I disagree; the new layout makes a lot more sense and is pretty intuitive. I think someone entirely new to BYOND will have a much easier time than someone used to BYOND.

That just doesn't make any sense at all. The fact the pages are incomplete is the only reason they're harder to navigate.

In a little while, when things are far more cleared up with the new hub pages, it'll be easier for everyone all around. After all, anyone who can't read a tab that says "description" is too young to use the internet...

(By incomplete I mean... well, yeah, there's no way that's the finished product.)

Is there something wrong with it? All we have in mind for the immediate future is another tab for the scores & medals. If you have other suggestions, make them here.
Ah, I hadn't seen this in testing but after I looked at some libraries that weren't BYOND favorites I saw the problem. It's fixed now. Thanks for the input.

That's my general feeling too. Obviously we're open to suggestions on how to improve this but I think overall this is going to make things a lot easier to see. I do recognize that it's a big change from what we had before though, which is why a lot of current BYOND users are understandably thrown by the differentness of it. I'm curious to see what they think of it a few days from now.

I don't especially like it. Moving the description to a secondary page strikes me as a very bad idea as the description is just about the most important bit of content on the hub page, next to the name and download link. When people look at a game, they're going to want to see three things. 1) What is this game called, and who made it? 2) What is it about. Is it something I'll want to play? And 3) Okay, so where do I click to play it? So those three things are what should be on the first page. Everything else can be secondary.

Although I personally do like the idea of having a screen shot inserted into the description of the game, in one of the top corners.

All the other bits of stuff: Waiting list, reviews, related, forum, share, edit, favorites, etc... Could either be at the top or bottom of the description. The banner and short description can be removed entirely as far as I'm concerned. Their purpose is elsewhere. Version number should be placed in the top bar. Write a review link? Doesn't need to be there at all. Put it on the Reviews page.

Tom's thinking on that was--and I fully agree with this--that the description changes infrequently enough that except on a first visit, it's not going to be seen much. For that reason we have an excerpt of the description on the Overview tab, but not the full description.

I'm liking that too.

The review link I feel is worth having up front because part of the point of the Overview tab is to remind people that these other tabs exist and have useful information to check out. (Sadly there was no good way to put a quick list of related games on the overview tab.)

Mind you I think there's a lot of room to tweak stuff here and we can make some changes, but I feel pretty good about having the full description moved out of the way. Having played with navigation a lot during testing I was surprised how unencumbered the page felt without it. There's a lot of info available at a glance that's more useful every time you come to the hub page, and info that's less useful at a glance is moved to other pages.

If I might make a case in favour of the description tab:

Now it looks better. Initially the page looked like this to me, which was... just awful. Now the page is displaying properly, I can say I quite like it.

Though it does need to display the game banner somewhere on the original tab.

Okay yeah. That's a little TOO long. Maybe you guys should enforce a limited number of characters in a game's description? :\
