hi I would like you to help me figure out how to make a game. if you can that would be nice thanks:)

Game development is an extremely broad topic, so it's difficult to assist you without knowing what part (the programming, the actual design, etc) part you're needing help with. Fortunately we have many resources available here on BYOND that cover a lot of these topics.

I'd recommend having a look through all of these resources:

  1. Your First World for a basic example of a game, as well as how to familiarize yourself with Dream Maker, BYOND's development environment.
  2. The Guide to get an indepth rundown on the core language.
  3. The Reference, which explains what every built-in variable and function does along with examples on how to use them.
  4. Step BYOND for a more complex example of a game.
  5. The Resource Repository, which is a convenient list of all our best resources. They cover a myriad of different topics, from programming techniques to game design.
  6. Developer Help, a subforum dedicated to assisting people with programming questions they may have.
  7. Design Philosophy, a subforum for discussing game design.
