What I'd like to know is the exchange rate between the numerical value of BYONDimes to American dollars. For example,
turf/phone
verb/dial()
if(pay("Dan",5))
//teleport to phone land
usr.loc = locate(/area/phoneland)
Would that cost five dollars, or five cents?
If you want to know my reasons, I plan on adding a small feature to Warrior, where you can buy 500-5000 development points for a very small (that is, trivial) amount (not quite sure what the ratio should be yet). Not that it is usable now, but I'll get it in place so I can simply uncomment a line and let it go.
Oh, and what's the exchange rate for the Euro? Just curious. =)

I'm all eager about this now, of course... BYOND Backgammon would be twice the fun if users could bet their own actual BYONDime account money.
Though I only have plans for players to play each other, not computer opponents. Have you guys considered possible ramifications of BYONDime gambling? (Have I, for that matter?) What about legality? Z |

BYONDimes are probably going to be dimes (makes sense), which are $0.10. Wow, a BYONDime is like $2 in Canadian! |

I'm not currently planning to charge anything less than a dollar, and I'm imagining this scenario: User clicks on link to spend $1. User gets popup asking them to approve 10 BYONDimes. User thinks I'm trying to cheat them out of 9 dollars. [Well I guess I can try to deal with it in UI...] |
BYONDimes are probably going to be dimes (makes sense), which are $0.10.
