This feature probably has been requested for a long time (possibly by others) and now I would like to make the same request. How about adding a transparent/mask background for all icon states that contain it? While it exists for blank icon states, it does not for those that use the white palette with a transparent background.

This is mainly an aesthetic feature to make it easier to click on/see icon states with just white.
