We cannot always confirm who wrote on a piece of parchment; a random guy can claim a letter he wrote came from a king, and any message can easily be editted, so a merchant could give someone a note promising some sort of service and it could be changed. What's more, suppose you don't want to send a message by peek for whatever reason and instead wish to entrust a messenger, and don't want him to read it (Let's assume for the moment any spy who would read it wouldn't just throw it away or give it to whoever he's working for.) there is no way to protect it.

To solve this, I propose the introduction of a wax stamp or something similar, which can be used to stamp parchment. It could be used to either simply stamp a message, or put a seal on it, both of which would identify the group, rank, and possibly the title (So if two people in the same group share a rank but do different jobs, they could set the title of their stamp to it.) of the sender, but would be sealed in the latter case.

If a message is stamped, it would come up as something like "Parchment [Message Title] [Group Name, Rank of Stamper, Title]", and if sealed, it would also add [Sealed/Broken] to the end to indicate whether the seal had been broken (But would still show the group name, stamper, and title).
