I am taking advantage of hosting provided by BYONDPanel, and Dream Daemon has been crashing a fair bit ever since I started having them host for me, but never when I hosted off my own computer. I contacted them about it, and they told me to make a bug report here with some information they gave me. It was all poorly worded and badly explained to me of what exactly I'm supposed to report but yeah..
The following information was given for me to post here:

Apparently they also set it up so I'll generate some file thing named "core" that I can send to you BYOND Devs for further annalists in the future but I'm not really sure what's going on with that thanks to poor explanation! :D

When you were hosting locally on your own machine, were you running on a Windows OS? And what BYOND version were you using then?

"libbyond.so" would strongly imply hosting on a *nix OS.

When hosting locally I was in fact on windows. Windows 7 64bit that is. I guess I probably should have thought to say that. I was also running, and still am running, BYOND version 501.1217.
That said, I had hosting through BYONDPanel before by way of a friend back on an earlier version a few months back, and the same issue applied to a different project I had though nothing was thought of it at the time. If that helps any. | |
If I didn't make myself clear properly, the error and stuff all took place on BYONDPanel, which runs Linux, everything works fine when I host locally.

I was having problems with that version of byond too (Byond version 501.1217), i believe it's that version problem because when i installed version 500.1213 again all my problems disapeared.
The problems i had with version 501.1217 were: Dream Daemon Crashing randomly. Dream Seeker Crashing randomly. Incase you want to try one of the versions released before that one ill post here a link to their location: http://www.byond.com/download/build/500/ Hope this helped a bit =) | |
