Whenever i try to run Byond i get this message
"This app can't run on your PC to find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher."
this hasnt happened before and i have playing Byond this computor for maybe a year. At first i thought it was because i run on windows 8. But compatibility mode doesn't work. and downloading other versions of Byond doesn't help either.

I know this is a stupid question. But how do i know if i do have RT?

Hmm (Open "My Computer" -> "System Properties")
It should say what your operating system is. What I know is Windows RT users can't use desktop apps, they can only use Metro apps (the one in fullscreen that runs like mobile apps) | |
Nope i have windows 8 the full package to my awareness the only thing i do not have is windows 8.1 but shouldnt compatibility mode work anyway?

I have Windows 8 (not Win 8.1) Pro and it's all good. What I may suggest is that you download an older version of BYOND from here and give it a shot:

I installed Byond 497 and i got the same problem. I went to the compatibility mode and i tried a bunch of the settings and it didnt fix anything.
