Hey, a new user here. I downloaded BYOND from http://www.byond.com/download/ about an hour ago and ran the installer. then i registered an account and attempted to run a game of Space station 13. the problems begin there, it brings up a little window for about half a second at which point, windows states that "Dream Seeker Has Stopped working" and gives me the following crash report.

if you need any more info from me go ahead and ask I'll be checking up on this thread probably once or twice a day until the issue is fixed.

Thanks in advance!

Did you update the ActiveX version of Flash or the Netscape Plugin version?

BYOND uses an embedded IE instance for its browser, so you need to be updating the Internet Explorer ActiveX version. You may also have to first uninstall it to fix the problem.

it took me about fifteen or twenty minutes to decipher the whole Internet Explorer Flash ActiveX thing, but i updated flash specifically for IE (didn't know you had to do that) and it works. thanks a ton. didn't expect BYOND to use IE in the first place. been years since i touched it.

Again, thanks.
