Ahoy. So once upon a time I made this post discussing my process for creating game art:

I make a lot of backups of an image while I work on it, but I seldom backup regularly enough to present an even transition, and when I do I generally forget and throw away the files. This time I remembered and put together another "evolution of an image" example. Someone may find this instructional, so here you go:

Wow looks nice, I might have to start doing something similar myself when I have time. I know that this kind of thing is quite traditional in any kind of art form but we casual developers tend to not worry about it too much when we do our pixel work. The quality difference however is obvious.
