Byond plus Yo Yo game maker. It would be awesome if they hypothetically fused.
N-no.
BYOND is actually pretty sweet and self-contained.
Byond provides the network, yo yo provides the simple programming.
Dream Maker has got to be the easiest language I've come across. It's so easy to not have to typecast every variable as I define it.
I actually started out with Game Maker. I found that easier to use than DM at the time. GML does not have the flexibility DM does, though.
Flexibility? In what?
In terms of syntax, I mean. GML is sort of limited last I used it. Game Maker however provides much more power over client processing, but it doesn't have built-in networking (not in the sense BYOND does). Instead you'll have to use the networking commands yourself. I haven't meddled with it.
When's the last time you used it? GML sound familiar?
Considering that he said "GML" in his post, I would imagine that it does, indeed, sound familiar to him.
