im having a problem with my party code, so when people join your party you follow them and the other person doesnt have to do anything, how i make one like that please help

I'm having trouble with chapter 14 of my novel, where that one lady has to walk really far and I don't know how to get her there without having a really boring chapter please help

Do the monkeys provide the fuel; or are the monkeys using fuel that is provided? Or, are the monkeys used AS fuel? And what would the milage per monkey be? Do I get a better fuel economy if I use orangatangs?
