Problem when launching

After installing and launching byond it opens this window in firefox:

as well as this

Clicking on the buttons does nothing except the cog wheel which opens another problem loading page

Byond used to open in its own window. Does it try to work through a browser now?

No worries! hopefully they'll put in a framework for a real browser soon...

I am not able to start a game of SS13. It asks me to open the files needed to play the game, but they open in my browser instead, so I'm not able to setup my character to play. Is this what is supposed to happen?

Try installing BYOND again, and no it's supposed to open a IE browser encased by BYOND's browser window.
