Currently, "Download audio and sound effects" is a setting that is dream seeker based.
I believe it would be fair to suggest making this particular setting per-game-basis, therefore minimizing the need to shift back and forth between two particular games who's audio experience may be conflicting.
Redundant

It's up to game developers to provide a per-game sound setting for you, not BYOND itself.

No, I do believe it is saved in Dream Seeker, Nadrew. And, it extends across all accounts, and games you may play now, or in the future. It is not variable by a server, only program based. And, the only interaction the language can have with this setting in the entirety is seeing whether or not it is active using winget() http://prntscr.com/4ehcj9 |
The Seeker-level setting is just that, a Seeker-level setting. If you want to have control of sounds in specific games, ask the developers of that game to make a toggle. Storing the setting on a per-game basis isn't really up to BYOND.
This has been requested before and received the same response from BYOND. |
Why does the toggle exist at all if that is the case? It would be similar to steam muting all of the games linked through it all at once. :/ I am not really following the train of thought on this one.

Truthfully, it's a fine request, but as we are (hopefully) fazing out DS in favor of this upcoming webclient, we don't want to prioritize this sort of thing. Perhaps we can have a convenient way to enable this per-game through the site, eventually.
