Hello!
Is it possible to sell games through BYOND? Like sell a game for a dollar or are all the games free?

I wouldn't say actually through BYOND, but yes you can sell games made with BYOND. Take a look at NEStalgia:

From your post, I found out that games have a subscription button through BYOND and the NEStalgia can be paid for $15 through this subscription button. Can anyone explain exactly how it works?

BYOND takes 20% of subscription money, but you get to use its authentication. You have the option of making a game downloadable only by subscribers, and you can check using code in-game whether the player is a subscriber.

There's also hub credits that you can set up (per hub) for micro-transactions.

Subscriptions are also a requirement to use, in order to make a stand alone exe - though Tom has always said he is willing to talk about other options.
