How is this show not a cartoon exactly? You didn't say it was bad or good, which is a bit subjective, you just said it is down right not even a thing it is in fact.
All of that either looks like drawings or computer graphics. In either case it qualifies as an animation. From a technical perspective, I'd say it's a cartoon.

If they're using real objects or claymation, you may have a case. However, lines can get blurred fast when animation is put over real objects. I learn towards still calling that a cartoon. Many cartoons from our eras used techniques such as that and we have no problem with it. Spongebob is a prime example and is -- amazingly -- still relevant today. Does it cease to be a cartoon when real objects are put in the mix? How about computer graphics? Shows using the latter have been around for awhile now.
Perhaps he's suggesting there is hidden imagery in these images. If that's the case, that's nothing new to cartoons at all.

On a side note, when they aren't being downright stupid (which is rare), that show can be funny.
sometimes i believe 4chan owns CN with the ridiculous shit on cn.-.-

RIP Ed Edd n Eddy

Edit: but even then I believe that Nick had more variety of cartoons of my interest.

Chalk Zone
Cat scratch
Hey Arnold
Rocket Power
Spongebob (Before the character was potrayed as homosexual)
Wild Thorn Berry
and everyone's favorite... Rugrats
To the banana, that action of separating the orange piece could be seen as dissection.

A banana's best friend could be an orange.

Or the banana's just watching some porn.

Thats what I was thinking.
It's not terribly apeeling to walk in on the banana like that. He looks like he wants to split.

At least someone has the brains to get the message.

I'm not saying it's not interesting (hell, I laughed my butt off when I saw these series of pictures!) either. But, as per the socially constructed term and not the dictionary term, cartoons are meant for children. It should be portraying the act of a child sitting at a computer watching, and get this, an orange being peeled. If you're old enough, wise enough, and smart enough, you'll see the hidden message in how the cartoon can, and will, change a child forever.

I guess he likes to smile at his best friend's dissection in the first picture, huh? I guess everyone should smile when their best friend is being dissected. :) Brilliant! ^_^ Let's follow what the cartoon says to do.
I love this show.
Name any cartoon you saw as a kid and there were jokes for adults in them. Kids don't understand the reference and if they do they obviously knew about it before they saw it.

That scene is so eschewed that no one with out prior knowledge to porn watching will get it.
