What if you didnt need to portforward your router to host?

That's called DMZ. But it's pretty unsafe and not very secure to do this.

If you don't have access to this very simple and easy-to-use feature, then you probably shouldn't be hosting.

Most routers allow software to open the port for the user.

I for one want the above to happen (it won't though) this will stop the needless posts by the masses..

A lot of software implement UPnP and I love it, I don't need to bother setting a port to a specific IP to a single device when I can have multiple devices with the same software using multiple ports and not have to worry about that port being constantly open on the router..
