Background music is an art form unto its own in the musical world. One that even I have trouble with. It's more difficult to switch from a melodic song structured thought process to a transient, flowing process. You do it rather well. Props.

are you implying that any of this has a melody because honestly these are all extremely slow and repetitive borefests that lack any variety and could be made in 5 minutes with a basic understanding of fl studio

step one: pick boring random notes
step two: make it slow and atmospheric
step three: add a lot of noise repeat it a lot and pretend youre producing music
step four: repeat it 10x a week and post in the byond forums

While I admit that not all of his tracks share the same quality, there are a few gems in there that do happen to work well as atmospheric music. If you can do it better, then why not put your money where your mouth is. Time yourself doing it in FL Studio in 5 minutes and get remotely the same sound quality than I can achieve through careful mixing and mastering. Instead of defaming people for putting in an effort to make the lives of game developers easier, why don't you stop being pretentious for a moment and appreciate the fact that he's getting work done while... you don't seem to have done anything with your time here, to be honest.

lol you must be new here

I've long since moved on from DM so other than still wanting to advertise and contribute my musical services, I have very little reason to be here. With that very little reason to be here, I also carry very little reason to judge others based on the impact of their work here. You don't see me going around and judging other people without providing concrete constructive criticism like a lot of the "ur suck" kids here.
No, I haven't made any games because, well, overall game development has just fallen out of being fun for me. I much prefer just writing music. That's the kind of work that I get done.

Hi everyone,

Soundimage is now on youtube!

I've had a good number of requests for a way to listen to my tracks in playlists rather than by clicking on them one at a time. Well, you asked for it...you got it. I've uploaded each and every track (almost 500 of them) onto youtube. The playlists directly correspond to the pages on my site where you can download the tracks as always.

Here's the link:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6mnTEE6xP74YcZDpkKGy-A/ playlists

I sincerely hope this is helpful. As always, feel free to send me links to your projects...I love to see how creative people are using my music!

Have a great week,
Eric
