How would I go about editing the default appearance of input and alert windows? the ugly grey boxes fit nowhere into my game...

In DreamSeeker, you can't customize them, so you could just not use them. You could make a custom skin with custom popups, or do something in the HUD, or anything else. Be creative.

In the Webclient, you can customize them.
