This kind of post really does belong more in Newbie Central... if you're looking for help on basic techniques and don't know where to begin, this is the best place to start.

It is helpful if you can be more specific in your questions... not everyone who's good at coding has played DWO or will know what you mean. If you can break down exactly what it is you want your code to do, step by step, people will find it easier to help you.

Also, this kind of coding is pretty involved... if you're having Dragon Warrior-style encounters, your whole monster/combat system is probably going to be wrapped up in it. The best anyone can probably do is just give you a place to start. I would love to do that, but I've never really messed around with a Dragon Warrior type system... again, maybe if you can give a little more detail on what you're looking for, someone who has will be nice enough to help.
