believe me, it DOES fit in newbie central even if hes not asking for help. it fits because only a newbie would make that many mistakes to max out the limit

VERY wrong there. I am not a newbie and I have maxed out the limit afew times.

Plus it doesnt fit in Newbie Central. Why? Because he is not asking for help on anything. It should go in babble because all he did here was babble on about his maxed limit count.

A single misplaced punctuation mark can cause you to reach the max error count. Still happens to me all the time. The only difference between a newbie and someone with more experience in this case is that the newbie panics.

Very true. In the case of the errors he posted. He deleted all his object code, and didn't edit the map to work with the new code. But usally when you reach max count, it's the first error on the list that causes all the other ones.

Judging by the content of some of those error messages, which give a very good idea what the game will be and how efficient its code is, I'd say that looks just about right.

well from the looks of it to me it looks like a dbz game which could be arip off from some other dbzgame and he could be copying and pasting and not know what he's oding or if he's donig it correctly because he's never coded before etc...

Your use of the abominable term "newb" is pretty telling; it speaks volumes about why you seem to perceive (re your "Spell Bubbles" thread) that newbies are attacked for just being new.

There's nothing wrong with being a newbie. People who use "newb", however, use it as a derogatory word to belittle newbies simply for being new. They often use it to refer to the more obnoxious, immature types who appear in a lot of games--but there's got to be a better term for that.

The funny thing about the term is that accepting it as valid immediately means you accept--at least in part--the premise that being new is something to be mocked for and therefore something people do mock for. I've always felt that anyone who actually does mock someone merely for being new is at least no better than the person they attack.

ljr I dont accept even in part making fun of newbies. You called him a:

newbie(to me means: Someone who is new to something)

Because he was making a DBZ game I was merely saying just because he is making a DBZ game does not make him a new coder.
