I'm having trouble with hosting games, i download the game then start it and click on host set the port to 0, but no one joins why. My friend tried to join but he couldn't. I can join other peoples games just not host, what do i have to do?

Its a possibility that people don't want to join your server and you closed out the game before he tried to join, to double check go to games live and see if your name shows up to indicate that its in the hub and people can join.

Setting it to 0 picks an open port for you.

Well, he might have a firewall.
He could also have a router, which has a firewall. (My setup) He would be unable to host anygames. Just so he know: A firewall will allow you to go get information to elsewhere, and send info to elsewhere, but not let someone for elsewhere access you. So: If the firewall is on a computer, read the manual, and free up a port. Use that port for hosting. Same deal for the router. |
