I think this works as long as you have a local copy of the game (if you need to run the game off of the byond server, than you need the internet).

Anyway, here's what I've been doing at home to test my game (we have 2 computers networked together behind a firewall)

1 -- start a new game on one computer
2 -- click on the "host" button in the bottom right of DS
3 -- on the other computer (which must be running byond with a DIFFERENT key), run dreamseeker (DS) and hit CNTL-O (open location)
4 -- type in the local IP and port of the other computer (port was given after you hit "host" earlier)

that should be it.
