Hello,

I'm looking to buy a new SD card with a large capacity, preferably a 16gb or the 32gb, but not the the cards that are SDHC or micro sd. I'd like to find the old regular SD cards with a large capacity. Do they make those? If so, where can I buy one?

To better clarify, not: http://www.topram.com/ebay/2007/2g_microSD/2GB_MicroSD.jpg but: http://www.tracyandmatt.co.uk/blogs/media/blogs/ tracyandmatts_blog/sandisk-2gb-sd-card.jpg just with a bigger capacity. Thank you.
As far as I know, regular SD cards have a physical limitation of 2GB, so you won't find any non SDHC cards going above that capacity.

Oh, that is what I was beginning to think. I guess I'll have to settle. Thanks.

I remember for a time there were 4GB regular SD cards, but they didn't work so great. SDHC is just a superior technology, and I believe any card reader from the last few years can read them without any issue.

I have 4GB micro SD in my phone, doesn't it use same technology as SD?

Might I ask why you -wouldn't- want an SDHC card?

Old device that isn't compatible with SDHC?

The main problem with 4GB SD cards is that the official capacity limit is 2GB. The cards themselves can technically be made to store up to 4GB of data. However, devices that support the official SD spec are only asked to support capacity limits of 2GB, meaning if you went and found some 4GB SD card in some dusty corner of some specialty shop, there's a good chance it won't even work in your device.
