Problem description:
I am wondering how to accurately tell if someone is multikeying since computer id isn't much helpful, someone can use both webclient and dreamseeker.
Of course there's IP address but that doesn't help if sibling claims are made.
I figured there might be javascript sneaky solution or something similar.
It's always been possible to dodge computer id but webclient makes it just so much easier that anyone can do it. Is there a way to determine someone's connected via webclient, that way I can just rely on ip address and raise a flag to mods. | |
If you read client.connection it should say "web" for webclient connections.

We may improve on computer_id for the webclient at some point; I have some ideas in that area, although it won't be as robust as DS's solution (which even then isn't ideal, but this is a non-trivial problem).
