Halo 3 Online vs Single Player

OK I play Halo. Its an OK First Person Shooter. So I have seen does videos showing the online beta and said " These graphics are good". Then I hear something about the online play will not look as good as the single play . So I was wondering how much better do you guys think he single player will be compared to the single play ? 10 times better , 50 % better , etc.

And

What are we look at for single player ?


Gears of War graphics or better ?

or

Pretty much the same graphics as the graphics in the online beta ?

Oddly enough, I don't ever think of console shooters as multi player games. Ever. To put it frankly, I can't stand them. Don't ask why because I'm not quite sure myself. The fact is I have a much better time with counterstrike than I ever will with a halo multiplayer match.

Gears of War has always appealed to me but I cant say I've ever had the chance to play it and thats a sad thing too, because I love fpses(I just hate multiplayer on consoles).

However... Timesplitters is different but we wont go into that.

Halo 3's graphics are nothing compared to Gears of War.
