The Forums are a great way to find your answer without creating a new post. Theres a little box called Search.

Just type in some snazzy keywords and press Enter. Google ( https://www.google.com ) is also a wonderful tool that's been around for a good 10+ years. Practically one of the best search engines in the world, in fact.

A 2 second Google search brought this up:

and a forum search brought this up:

My setup looks like this:

Typically, your router will have a special URL you can go to. For instance, it might be something like http://192.168.0.1 which would be the router's IP address. Then it will have you enter a user name and password (it lets you change those later, but your manual should tell you the default), and you'll see a screen full of options you can change.

Usually the option you want is called port forwarding, but I think some routers used to call it virtual servers, or some crap like that. Anyway you should be able to find an option for this.

Before you do that, find out the local IP address of your computer--the one you'll use for hosting. Your router may have an option in its DHCP settings to reserve that IP address for only that machine, so it doesn't change on you. (E.g., if you're on 192.168.2.103, make sure you can keep it.) Use that if you can.

Now in port forwarding, you should have the option to add some ports. You'll want to set at least one port to use for hosting--maybe go with a high number, in the 10000-50000 range--and tell the router that connections to that port should go to your machine's IP address (e.g., the aforementioned 192.168.2.103). It will ask you if you want to use TCP, UDP, or a mix of traffic--maybe some other kinds too. All you need here is TCP.

That should be it. When you start up Dream Daemon, tell it to use the port you set, and people should be able to connect to it.
