Best Storyline in a Game EVER

What do you think has the best storyline in a game??

I say its Metal Gear Solid 3. Its storyline is so good I cant explain it in words. It even has a suprise twist if you beat the game. Beating the game is worth the effort. It shows you the best/most important cut scene in the game... it kept me hooked.

my favorite stories are in halo(both), the GTA games, Advent Rising, and The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (I especially like the Bloodmoon Expansion main story)

{Edit} I am also a big fan of Half-Life 2. I never played the original, but really want to.

You want storyline?

Wario Ware: Touched has one of the best storylines I've ever experienced, second only to Tetris.

Tetris? You're a russian building a spaceship. In one version of the game, you get to see it launch at the end.

Seconded. But FFX-2 just shouldn't of existed. I liked Kingdom Hearts' also.

The Zelda series, or at least the storyline that's getting fleshed out with the later ones.

Or if I'm only allowed to pick one game, then FF6.

I'd have to agree. Sorta has a religious twist; but Spira is a pretty f****d up world in my opinion. Having to live through a continuos death cycle and all. (Don't spoil it plz, I haven't beat it yet. And yes I just recently got the game.)

I know its a good story, but their world is jsut screwed up. I'm on the part where you can do w/e you want, ie. go fight sin or do side quests.

I would say Earthbound has a good storyline. Its not complex and its pretty fun.

But the best would be Zelda:OOT because its so memorable.
