I've been trying to run BYOND on my Mac using Wine and have been having problems with the pager. When I launch BYOND, a small window appears, prompting me to enter a server identifier. I'll enter an identifier, but it'll give me this.
Any suggestions?

I have BYOND version 507.1286 and am using Wine version 1.7.35. I have deleted the key.txt file and made sure to install flash as a winetrick.

The dialog you're seeing first is showing up because you're not launching the pager--you're launching Dream Seeker directly, and without an argument that tells it where to visit.

The second error might be because you're visiting a game on an out-of-date server (there was a bug in some builds of 507), except the message in question shouldn't be happening unless you connect with a very long account name. A guest account really shouldn't cause the issue except in really rare cases where either the server is way, way out of date, or something has garbled communication between your system and the server.

I checked out that server and it's being hosted on 506, which is out of date but shouldn't have the issue I described. So I can't help but wonder if something else in your setup is causing the problem. But to simplify this, I would suggest launching the actual pager and logging in on your account first, and then trying to join the game; most SS13 servers don't allow guest accounts anyway.

Now that you point out that I am "launching DS directly", I think I have realized that the problem lies in my setup/use of WINE.
