I think its cause kids like me would bust the metal ones and then get nasty cuts... like half my cars where convertables cause i would brake the tops off...

I got a die-cast Hot Wheel in a box if Cinnamon Toast Crunch, just this Saturday.

I thought it had an odd texture, but couldn't quite put my finger on it. I thought that was just supposed to be the "crunch" part.
