RIP.

I'm no longer able to program while at work due to BYOND being detected as a Game in and of itself, rather than an entire suite revolving around games.

It's actually a huge hit to the time I have available to develop.

I need a hug.

Exactly. They're cracking down on that as well. Over the course of a month my day job has become computer Alcatraz.

Well, maybe you should actually be doing your job?
I don't see what your internet has to do with you and programming BYOND games.

You stated that your concern is not being able to program. Now unless DM has changed dramatically since the last time I used it, you don't need an internet connection to open it up and start programming.

[Edit] Just turned my internet off few mins ago. You can indeed open Dream Maker, make a new environment or open an existing one, code, and run your games without an internet connection.

Bring a laptop to work.
@Bravo: I used to just program dry at work. Give it a shot. 4 hours of code without a compile in sublimetext2. Sync your files via a google drive and go home, open the environment and compile and fix bugs. You get a TON more done on a project when you don't compile and test compulsively.
@GPE: There's lots of downtime at my job, and it's not the kind of job where I can just "find something else to work on". I kind of wish it was because it passes the time more quickly when I've got a lot of work.

@ET: The program itself gets flagged as a game, so I can't have that. As for using a laptop, I A: have no desk space for it and B: don't have one to use.

@Ter13: Good suggestion. I'll try that out on Monday and see how it goes.

Bruh effect is sick, please make it a key boss mechanic, I wanna see that on a bigger scale.

Also, those fireflies... that lighting... Give it some good atmospheric music and dot a few other players around and that'd be a hell of a nice scene.
