Someone was helping me test something using stickybans.
I was told to use myself as a test to see if it'd work. Well, it didn't ban me, so I didn't think much on it. I did a server reset this morning to fix a few issues and now it has stickybanned me. Removing my name from hostban.txt doesn't seem to unban me. Does anyone have any way to fix this?

We actually tend to use ban.txt now. I would just delete both files.

Yeah, that's all you need to do.

Would this apply after the world restarted or...?

Clearing the files and saving should be enough if the world is running. I didn't realize you were still running the world.

It runs off a linux server. It only seems to apply the file during a world restart, but I can't do that currently. I'm wondering if after deleting I should restart the world.

Only thing I can find is century old forums posts all mentioning to use hostban.txt for sticky bans.. Not once in the ref does it say either or only use only one of them..... Also while I'm here, hostban.txt doesn't unban you at all. It also doesn't read the file on an interval.. | |
