Wow so why is it that everytime i post something i never get any help to improve it?
1st this is the show room. That means you are done with the project. Try posting in the Pixel Works in Progress.
I personally think that it looks good. Maybe shorten the neck a little. It looks weird.

Maybe because it's only been 2 hours? Seems like you got help in your last one, though.

This piece could use some AA.

The difference between yours and his (anatomy I believe you learn by experience so I'll just ignore thins)
is his is more interesting to look at because of the texture (of course he's a dither maniac so don't over-do it like him) and it's not as flat...Though it's still flat. Not the best example but atleast it's better. Also use more colors to make things look interesting (use HIGHER contrast...Even more then him)...

For where to place the light think of where light would hit...What sticks out most on a face? Think like the light and define the object. Lets say you're the light, you're going to hit the cheeks, the nose, the chin, the center of the hair (forehand where hair leans off the edge)...same with helmit since it's on the same level. Then the 2nd lightest colors will hit things not as "stuck out"...mostly around these areas we already pointed out and places like the hair blades.

Try to shade and use contrast on the white like how this guy does, http://pixeljoint.com/pixelart/34681.htm?sec=showcase
Don't be intimidated...Art is all an illusion, you can do the same thing if you believe. (well not really, but close enough >.>)

I Didnt do sooooo much detail because i wanted it to look more like the anime, As for that other guy.....Im speach-less on how long it took to do that and how Long he has been practicing but it came out amazing. I wish to b ethat good one day thats why i icon everyday...And by "Higher Contrast" What do you mean? Lighter Colors? Oh and yes i do also see the lean in his helmet and hair. Thx For the advice and Thx for noticing >.>

I notice alot more then I tell, it's more about how much someone can handle. (Different skill leveled users can take in a different amounts of material I could be wrong here but thats how I feel (obviously intellect would play a factor). Plus I like to take things slow.

Contrast is the difference between colors. Low contrast (which is popular on byond for all the wrong reasons) --> High contrast.
