Here is a sprite from my upcoming game. This is just the south sprite, but I've done it in all 4 directions. Tell me what you think, but please don't be too harsh, this is my first character sprite, and I've just started spriting.(yes it looks a little slow, but thats the animation program.) I made this sprite and all my others in Macromedia Fireworks.

It might help if we knew what exactly it's supposed to be or had a reference picture to go with.

I think you have some good animation skills, I'd just like to point out the icon loses whatever light it had when it crashes to the ground.

I kinda had a light source(Northwest), but didn't really keep it through the animation, I don't really know how to deal with light sources very well
