The Find and Find/Replace dialogs now have the find value filled in automatically by the currently selected text, or the word at the cursor position.

This issue has been resolved.
Gosh it'd be nice if Ctrl+F and Ctrl+H brought up the Find or Find/Replace dialogs with the currently selected text or current word filled in.

Oy, when I open the find dialog, my last search is reset which I think is a regression with this change.

Can we not reset the input unless there is a string selected?

*edit* - Ideally, it only resets on double click or drag selection. Not a fan of it automatically blowing away my last search attempt (that failed) and that I want to revise.
