Lummox JR is throwing around some new terms in his latest news on development. Planned for version 510 is the simplification of the drawing code, and the addition of plane masters, to help manage visual effects. In addition to the text manipulation procs mentioned in former weeks, json_encode and decode are making their way in as well.

He ends with a challenge for developers to get festive and create small winter-themed games.

Land of Fire has moved their weekly development logs to Tuesday, and they are chock full of new developments for the adventure RPG. In the first dev-log, they simplified how homes are designed, losing the slated walls to ease perspective woes. Then inventory management was shown off, Resident Evil style. Then yesterday's dev-log introduced item-crafting and material manufacturing, and goes into some gif-heavy attack skill demonstrations, ending with the addition of a new team member, Rushnut.

Those who frequent the Developer's show-off thread are aware that Rushnut and Goosehead have been working on a sequel to Deep Dungeon, appropriately named Deep Dungeon 2. In public alpha, players can give their soul (or since it's alpha, no souls are required) to delve into the currently not-so-deep dungeons, fight monsters and necromancers, collect sparkles, try out classes, admire skills, and be blown up by bombs. Follow the instructions on the hub page to get started!

Sigrogana Legend 2 has moved into version 1.44 with the addition of nine new skills for the solider class, and seven accompanying skill adjustments. A series of bug fixes made their way in as well.

Bravo1 has been leaving progress updates on Lux. GIFs show the addition of a new laser turret, blaster cannon, and a spinner-with-flashy-lights-emergency-rover-back-up-machine... Just in case something was to happen to the original.

Nadrew is hosting the BYOND classic, My Life as a Spy, after a summer dwell. For the moment, the forums are down and subscriptions are non-functional. But that doesn't have to stop anyone from getting in on the spy foiling action. Try it out in the Webclient too!
