This issue has been resolved.
Descriptive Problem Summary:
If I include this bit of code anywhere in my game, upon compile Dream Maker hangs and crashes

player
parent_type = /mob


Does the problem occur:
Every time? Or how often?
Yes

Did the problem NOT occur in any earlier versions? If so, what was the last version that worked? (Visit http://www.byond.com/download/build to download old versions for testing.)

It doesn't happen in any other environments, however if I re-create this one exactly as-is, it happens.

Trying a few things, excuse multiple posts

If I remove the parent_type, I get this

Which shouldn't be happening, there's no loop.
Whoops! Ignore that second post, I accidentally had a space before rClient, lol. Probably a bug in itself, not really sure why it happened. The crashing persists though.
Stranger still, if I change 'player' to something else (I used dave in my test), it no longer crashes.

I don't know anymore man. All I see are 1s and 0s. Everything is a haze, what even is life.
SSX pointed out I screwed up my upload, since which time I've made multiple changes to the source (unrelated ones of course), and now the crash isn't happening, unless I completely revert my source.

/shrug

I guess you can close this unless you can figure out the problem from the debugging information I gave you.
