This problem has been persisting ever since December. When I go into the BYOND client and try to play Space Station 13, when I click on a server the entire launcher freezes. I have to end the process via task manager, and there is no crash report. I have deleted the one update that was causing crashes, but the problem still persists.
This is really annoying, and I hope someone has a fix.

It's possible that update has returned. Avast has also been a big problem lately, in that it is mistakenly blocking Dream Seeker. If you have Avast, add the BYOND installation folder to its exception list.

If Avast was the problem, please be sure to report the false positive to them. That way they can stop bothering BYOND in a future update.
