Basically, Getting pinged for every "within byond" topic created is lame, As a dev and host of 1 game, the going ons of other games rarely interest me. nor do the going ons of the byond community. My time is limited and none of that is on my radar. The resources also don't interest me, as we can't use half of those snippets or libraries under our licensing terms.
BUT! I would LOVE to get pinged for "Development news" posts.
I'm sure there are others who feel this way.

I don't think there's anything in the system that tells the difference between those posts so I don't imagine it would be a trivial thing to add. Would be pretty nice though.

You can also subscribe to the BYOND public builds post, (but, because the topic is locked, the subscribe link is hidden) like so:
"http://www.byond.com/forum/?post=180952&command=subscribe_to_post&hash=[userhash]&subscribe=1" You replace [userhash] with whatever your hash is - you can find it by inspecting the page and looking for "hash" near the reply box. | |
